Pagnotta’s story begins in 1967 when Mario Pagnotta came to Canada from rural Italy and started work as a site labourer. Mario’s dedication and hard work pushed him on as a successful site superintendent and, ultimately, on an entrepreneurship journey as a self-performing construction company.
Pagnotta’s big break came in 1995 when Mario earned the opportunity to help with the construction of the Greenwood Inn in Edmonton. The company also bought its first Tower Crane during this project.
It wasn’t long before the company outgrew its headquarters in the family’s basement. By 1998 Pagnotta had new corporate office space and expansive projects.
The company did a variety of construction work and bought more equipment as needed. As time went on, Pagnotta evolved into three distinct divisions: Construction, Concrete and Equipment.
